Il-ftit li fadlilna (The little we have left) - submission for Artna (Our Land), an online exhibition of illustrated posters against the rampant destruction of the natural and built environment in Malta.
As one of the smallest and densest countries in the world, Malta’s few unbuilt spaces are incredibly valuable. Yet they are a under constant threat from developers and construction companies, who have a tight control of the government and are able to bend rules and regulations to their benefit. The nation is paying a heavy price for this unregulated development: roads are gridlocked, asthma and pollution levels are off the record, protected green spaces are vanishing forever and families have lost their lives due to construction disasters.

This poster asks a simple question: we cannot do much about what has already been destroyed, but are we prepared to make the right decisions to protect the little spaces we have left?
