Birth of Culture

The Birth of Culture is a self-researched / produced / published booklet that explores a theory of cultural evolution.

Inspired by various historical history texts such as those by Herodotus and Ibn Battuta, it makes use of fictitious alphabets and scripts to illustrate a whole cultural lifecycle, from inception to cross-polination and beyond. The booklet aims to show that cultures never really vanish - they simply mutate into new ones, over and over again.

This booklet was published in 2012, in an edition of 350 copies.
