Contracompositions
Contracompositions was an exhibition of paintings that ran during September 2017 and also formed part of Valencia Design Week 2017.
Taking the city of Valencia as the subject, the paintings explore ‘contrasting’ ideas observed within the city’s historic, cultural and natural but ultimately visual make-up.
The paintings are for the most part created from pieces of wood salvaged from the streets of Valencia. The exhibition was accompanied by two workshops entitled ‘The Graphic Language of Cities’ (El lenguaje gráfico de las ciudades).
